                                              Weddings Price List


                                              The MERC Wedding package includes:

                                              Picture
                                              • Access to the MERC venue from 6pm Friday night until 9am on Sunday morning,
                                              • Exclusive use of our stunning main hall for up to 100 guests
                                              • Exclusive access to a large kitchen area (ideal for food preperation) and the dining area for the full hire period.
                                              • Use of 20 trestle tables and 100 chairs.
                                              • 1 bathroom/toilet area in the hall and 2 bathroom/toilet areas in the dining area
                                              • Price includes rubbish collection fees and sundry items.

                                              Price: $1,996.00 (excluding GST & a refundable bond of $300).
                                              Please note that a condition of hire is that the premises should be left clean and in the same condition as it was found. Also, as we are located in a residential area, we require that you are considerate of our neighbours and that you wind up your festivities by no later than 1am.
                                              Guest accommodation is also available in dormitory style accommodation (with a limited number of smaller rooms) for an additional cost, if required. Costs are:

                                              Pre-schoolers - no charge
                                              School age - $25 per person / night
                                              Adult & Tertiary - $35 per person / night

                                              Please note that guests are required to bring their own linen and catering for these guests will be entirely your (or their own) responsibility. We can also provide a list of other local accommodation providers if you or they prefer not to stay on-site.

                                              If you would like everyone to be able to stay and enjoy Long Bay on the Sunday (or simply have a bit more time to do the clean-up), then we may be able to offer you one of the following departure times:

                                              Depart by 12pm - $375 + GST excess

                                              Depart by 4pm - $500 + GST excess

                                              Although we do not offer catered functions, we can recommend outside caterers who are familiar with our facilities that you can contact for quotes. Caterers that we regularly use are

                                              Please note that we do not supply crockery or cutlery although there is a small supply in the kitchen that any guests who are staying are at liberty to use.

                                              Alcohol is permitted as long as you obtain a Liquor Licence from North Shore City Council. We can supply you with the necessary paperwork and then you pay the $63 application fee directly to the council. You will also need to arrange your own entertainment, music and any dressing of the venue.
